4Cs – Color, Clarity, Cut and Carat Weight

Color

Diamond color is categorized in the following color grades by GIA (Gemological Institute of America) and in Thai Diamond Terminology Diamond Color 100% i.e. “D Color” in international terms.

D, E and F (100, 99 and 98): Colorless
G, H and I (97, 96 and 95): Near Colorless
J, K and L (94, 93 and 92): Slightly Tinted
M – R (91%): Very Light Yellow
S – Y/Z: Light Yellow

Clarity

Diamond clarity is graded within a range from Flawless to Included:

Flawless (FL): Flawless diamonds don’t have any internal features or blemishes visible when magnified up to 10 times
Very Very Slight (VVS): These diamonds feature small inclusions that are difficult to locate, even by diamond experts
Very Slight (VS): Diamonds with VS clarity feature more inclusions, and are divided into VS1 and VS2 categories, with VS1 diamonds have fewer inclusions than VS2 diamonds
Slightly Included (SI): Categorized as SI1 and SI2, slightly included diamonds will show more apparent inclusion features under 10 times magnification
Included (I): Categorized as I1, I2 and I3, Included diamonds will have features visible to the unaided eye

Cut

Bric diamond’s cut grade is evaluated within a range:
Excellent : Well proportioned, distributing light evenly through the diamond, this is the highest cut grade
Very Good : A majority of the light is still reflected through the crown, or the top, of the diamond
Good : A diamond with a Good cut will still reflect a good deal of light, but will not appear as brilliant as a higher cut grade

Carat Weight

If diamond all Cs being equal, diamond price increases with diamond carat weight because larger diamonds are rarer and more desirable. However, two diamonds of equal carat weight can have very different values (and prices) depending on three other factors of the diamond 4Cs: Color, Clarity, and Cut.

Bric entry in distribution of natural polished diamonds started in year 2020. By combining our own sourced diamonds with polished stones sourced from our reliable associate manufacturers, we ensure a consistent depth of inventory, to meet the needs of many different clients including international brands, large chain retailers, specialty jewelers and SME’s jewelry manufacturers.

Certified Diamonds

Bric offers certified round brilliant diamonds & fancy shape in clarities ranging from IF to SI2 and sizes 0.18 carats to 3.00 carats in 3VG Up (Cut, Polish and Symmetry) including a significant number of Triple-Excellent cut stones.

We handle AGS 000 stones, the hardest stones to cut, and GIA ‘Triple Excellent’ diamonds, as well as ‘Hearts and Arrows’ stones.Bric offers non-certified diamonds in round and fancy shapes ranging from IF to Pique and sizes 0.003 carats size to 3.00 carats with superior makes.

Manufacturing, at our associate’s state-of-the-art manufacturing set up, takes place under strict supervision, and the resultant polished is packaged after strict standard assortments. Each parcel goes through a thorough quality check and is also screened on synthetic detection machines bought from De Beers and HRD, before entering the market.
